How to Dress Up for Spirit Week

How+to+Dress+Up+for+Spirit+Week

From October 30th to November 3rd, WP will be holding a Spirit Week.

Monday will be “Barbie Theme Day”. Students can wear anything from Ken to pink, or even show up as “just Allan”.

Tuesday is “Halloween Dress Up Day.” Put that frightful costume on and join us. Bring some laughs or dress to impress.

“Twin Day” follows on Wednesday. You can match your bestie or boyfriend; the choice is yours.

Next is “Celebrity Day;” be creative and show off your best look.

Finally, on Friday, Spirit Week will end with a “Y2K Day.” Put on your most iconic 2000’s outfit and blow us away.

Thoughts on Spirit Week

Some students were interviewed about Spirit Week, and these were their thoughts. One of them was asked if they believed that Spirit Week was necessary. They responded, “Yes, because we get to dress up every day and make fun memories.”

Another student was asked if this was their first week participating in Spirit Week. Surprisingly, they responded, “First time participating and so excited.” Their responses  were positive. Students are looking forward to Spirit Week. For some, this will be a unique experience at WP.

How was Spirit Week created?

Brianna Moron, one of the Spirit Week creators, was interviewed. She was asked how she made it possible. She responded, “I just spoke to Ms. Wilen literally the day before I made the Spirit Week flyer, and I was able to do it on my own time at like 3 AM… We were able to print it out and tape it around the school.”

Brianna Moron was asked if she was planning on doing more of these. She responded, “There’s probably going to be one for all the major holidays, so hopefully I’m able to make more for those weeks.” This means there will be more Spirit Weeks to come.
