Persona 5 is a game that is loved by many, for all the right reasons. It’s a game where you play as a high school student nicknamed Joker who lives a double life: an honest high school student and a crime fighting hero. You fight crime by battling supernatural enemies, and when defeated the person who holds these supernatural beings, also known as ‘personas’ will have a change of heart in the real world. The game is fascinating because you’re meant to balance your daily, honest life as well as saving the world from deplorable people and their alter egos.
Playing the game is an experience on its own. The dialogue given by your character is decided on you and how you want to perceive yourself as to others. You build bonds with other characters in the game that can help you fight in these battles with the enemies.
Students like Aiden Diaz have the same sentiment. When asked what he likes about the game, he states, “Everything from the amazing music that’s always playing to the compelling characters and the stories they have to tell within the main story with their confidant events. The combat is simple at its core but the more you play the more complicated it gets and which forces you to think about new ways to approach each fight.”
According to MetaCritic, it has a ‘Meta Score’ of 93, and is labeled as a ‘Must-Play’. The user score is an 8.7 and is generally favorable.
